Fariba Khalvati Beighlie, NCARB, LEED AP, is a highly accomplished and visionary
architect and neuro-architect specializing in neuroscience for architecture, sustainability, and accessibility with almost thirty years of experience in designing buildings in Oklahoma, Colorado, Texas and California as well as Iran. She also taught Design at her alma mater, University of Oklahoma. Ms. Khalvati Beighlie has been studying and practicing Neuroscience for Architecture since 2003. In the last two decades, Fariba has been a standing participant and contributor to the field of Neuroscience and Sustainability in Architecture and a member of USGBC, ANFA and Moving Boundaries and continues to mentor other younger architects in the field of Architecture and Neuroscience for Architecture.

As the founder of FKB, a neuro-architectural firm, Fariba leverages neurological research to create dynamic buildings and spaces through a proprietary business model. She stands out as the pioneer architect with an Academic Certificate in Neuroscience for Architecture from the NewSchool of Architecture and Design, earned in collaboration with neuroscientists from the Salk Institute.

Fariba’s impressive credentials reflect a lifetime of educational achievement. She holds a post-graduate degree from the NewSchool of Architecture & Design and a Master’s in Architecture from the University of Oklahoma, where she also earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Arts, Advertising, and Graphic Design. She has contributed to the field as a visiting professor at the University of Oklahoma and served as Vice President of Sustainability Designs and Initiatives at PBWS Architects. In this role, she directed the development of sustainable and regenerative architectural solutions, mentored associates, and managed multiple commercial and historical projects. She is also a coauthor for the best selling book titled,“The Successful Woman’s Mindset, published in 2020.

Fariba’s work has earned numerous accolades, including a recent nomination for the prestigious SPIRE Award for her commercial architecture solution for Home Franchise Concepts’ headquarters. Her innovative approach and dedication to improving lives through architecture continue to set her apart as an industry thought leader.
