Carly Faye Smith

Carly Faye Smith is a multidisciplinary creative director, experiential designer, and founder of Studio Copia, a creative consultancy focused on designing environments, experiences, and systems that support human connection, reflection, and transformation.

With over a decade of experience spanning interior architecture, custom lighting and artwork installations, project management from concept thru fabrication to delivery, and large-scale built environments, Carly brings a rare blend of creative vision and technical rigor. Her background most recently includes leading complex refurbishment and new-build projects within the global cruise and hospitality industry, where she worked directly with shipyards, fabricators, artists, engineers, and international stakeholders to deliver highly functional yet beautiful spaces under demanding conditions.

At the core of Carly’s work is a deep interest in how environments shape behavior, emotion, and well-being. Her practice bridges the physical and emotional—combining spatial design, light, sound, movement, and narrative to create experiences that invite presence, self-awareness, and belonging. She draws inspiration from art, architecture, neuroscience, sustainability, and community-building, and is particularly passionate about creating spaces that honor neurodiversity, sensitivity, and individual expression.

Through Studio Copia, Carly is developing a body of work that includes multisensory immersive spaces with interactive art experiences, human-centered workshops, and consulting for individuals and organizations seeking to design more meaningful, inclusive, and emotionally intelligent environments. She is also exploring long-form creative projects and experiential exhibitions that reflect themes of healing, resilience, identity, and personal transformation.
