Interior Architect, Designer

I’m Tameka Moffat, an Australian interior architect and designer with more than 30 years of experience across design, construction and project delivery.
I grew up in a family immersed in construction, property and development, so the built environment has always been a big part of my life. Over the years, my work has evolved beyond simply creating beautiful and functional spaces. I’ve become increasingly fascinated by the relationship between people and place, and why certain environments make us feel, behave and respond differently.
That curiosity led me to further study neuroscience and neurodesign, and it has opened up a whole new way of thinking about the work I’ve been doing for more than three decades.
I’m now particularly interested in how we can bring neuroscience and design together to create more thoughtful, human-centred environments that support wellbeing, connection, focus and the way people experience a space.
I’m really looking forward to continuing to learn, meeting others working in this space and sharing ideas and experiences throughout the course.
