Trupthi Panickor is an architect, designer, TEDx speaker, and sustainability advocate whose work focuses on creating environmentally responsible and human-centered spaces. She currently serves as a Design Associate at Dekker Design, where she leads sustainability initiatives across the studio, advancing strategies centered on resilience, wellness, and equitable design.
Trupthi holds Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Architecture, along with advanced studies in Urban and Regional Design. Her academic and professional interests explore the intersection of sustainability, neuroscience, culture, and the built environment. She has presented research on the Neuroscience of Architecture at universities and academic forums, focusing on how design influences human behavior, well-being, and community experience.
Beyond her professional work, Trupthi is deeply involved in leadership and community engagement initiatives. She serves on the board of Rotary International and is the Secretary of Arts Hub Albuquerque. She is also the Student Liaison for NOMA New Mexico, where she actively supports mentorship and representation within the architecture and design professions.Trupthi is particularly passionate about educational outreach and youth engagement through Project Pipeline, a summer camp initiative that introduces middle school students to architecture, design thinking, and creative problem-solving. She is committed to creating opportunities for young students to see themselves represented within the design industry and to encouraging the next generation of diverse leaders in architecture.
She previously served as a columnist for an Indian newspaper, writing bi-weekly on architecture, interiors, décor, and DIY design ideas. With a multidisciplinary background that also includes Indian classical dance and public speaking, Trupthi continues to advocate for design that is sustainable, inclusive, culturally grounded, and socially impactful.
