A native of Guadalajara, Mexico, Rocío Name Fernández holds a degree in Architecture from the Tecnológico de Monterrey. She has pursued postgraduate studies in Art History, Project Management, and Accessible Architecture through institutions such as the Sorbonne, the Universitat de Catalunya, the New School of Architecture and Design, and the Universidad Panamericana, where she also completed a specialization in Anthropology and Ethics.

She has served as Director of Conducto.MX and is a partner at NAME Arquitectos. Throughout her career, NAME Arquitectos has been recognized with Gold and Silver Medals by the Sociedad Mexicana de Interioristas, as well as a Gold Medal and multiple recognitions in National Architecture Biennials. Their work has been featured in both national and international publications, and in 2015 received the Trayectorias/Legado Award from México Design.

In 2020, she was invited to become the founding director of the Architecture program at the Universidad Panamericana, a position she has held ever since.
