Arathy Gopal

Dr Arathy Gopal is Assistant Professor in School of Planning and Architecture (SPA) New Delhi, India. She was previously employed as Assistant Director (Plg.) in Delhi Development Authority (DDA). Her postgraduate thesis was awarded ITPI National Best Thesis Award and part of PhD work received a Sahapedia-UNESCO fellowship. She was co-investigator for the research that won Hay grant from ANFA and presented at Salk institute, CA in 2016. She studied for 5 months with a fellowship at NTNU, Norway in 2020. She presented at Conferences of the International Seminar on Urban Form at Poland (2022), Serbia (2023), Brazil (2024) and is the Co-ordinator of the Regional Chapter of ISUF in India. Her topics of interest include Urban Form, Technology and Urban morphology, Sacred city urbanism, and Neuroscience for Architecture.
