Chika C.Daniels

Dr.  Chika C. Daniels, MRAIC, NOMA, RIBA, is a Canadian architectural  scholar, public policy strategist, and interdisciplinary civic thinker  whose work spans architecture, housing, governance, and social systems.  She serves as President of WTAL Canada, Adjunct Professor at the  University of Calgary’s School of Architecture, Planning + Landscape,  and Executive Council in the Office of the Premier of Alberta.

Daniels  holds graduate degrees in architecture, planning, and housing policy,  with research focused on the relationship between built environments,  public institutions, economic systems, and human experience. Her work  engages questions of housing futures, civic participation, social  cohesion, and the cultural dimensions of public life, drawing from  architecture, political theory, systems thinking, and urban governance.

Over  the past two decades, Daniels has worked across academia, government,  investment management, private equity, entrepreneurship, and strategic  advisory. She has contributed to international housing and urban  development dialogues alongside scholars and practitioners affiliated  with Harvard University, Stanford University, and Massachusetts  Institute of Technology, and has been invited to speak internationally  on architecture, innovation, international housing policy, and civic  systems transformation.

Her scholarly and public work has earned  numerous recognitions for leadership, entrepreneurship, and community  impact, including nominations for Canada’s Top 100 Most Powerful Women  and the United Way Calgary & Area Woman of Impact Award, alongside  receiving the Immigrant of Distinction Award for Community Service and  the Immigrant Champion of Canada Award.

Daniels continues to  serve across academic, civic, charitable, and private sector boards and  initiatives in Canada and internationally.
