I am an independent consultant, researcher, practitioner, and educator specializing in inclusion, neurodiversity, autism, and learning and well-being environments. With over 20 years of experience across Canada, Asia, and the MENA region, my work focuses on sensory-responsive and neuro-considerate approaches that support regulation, learning, engagement, and well-being for neurodiverse individuals. My expertise integrates behavioural, cognitive, and neurophysiological insights to examine how environmental factors influence human experience and performance. My current research explores the association between classroom acoustic conditions, sensory-responsive behaviours, and engagement in children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
I advocate for systems-level change, working alongside educators, institutions, and policymakers to embed neuro-considerate principles into the frameworks that shape everyday experiences for neurodiverse communities.
I have led complex projects and academic programmes, advancing inclusive and evidence-informed practices across learning and well-being environments. I am also recognized for pioneering Oasis School for Autism at Sharif Medical City Pakistan’s first purpose-built autism school grounded in neuro-considerate design principles.
