Francisco Alejandro Lara

Architect
Guadalajara, Mexico

My name is Alejandro Lara. I'm a passionate and curious person in subjects such as architecture, psychology, inclusion, language and neuroarchitecture, constantly looking for a way to integrate all of them throughout my projects, seeking for the wellbeing of the final user regardless of their abilities or disabilities.

I'm an architect Alumni from the “Instituto Técnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Occidente” (ITESO) at Guadalajara, Mexico; made my exchange student experience at the “École Nationale Superieur d'Architecture de Grenoble” (ENSAG) in Grenoble France, and I love to meet people, their culture, history and language, speaking fluently Spanish, English, French and now learning Mexican Sign Language.

Nowadays I'm a Designer Architect at Estudio 3.14 in Mexico, where we develop projects of different scales such as urbanism, architecture and interior design throughout the country in collaboration with national and international firms.

My interest in Neuroarchitecture was rooted in my family's history as well as my own, as being son of a psychologist and a hydrotherapist that founded their own rehabilitation center for handicapped people “ADAPT-TAAC” whom specialized in neurodiversity cases in addition to my love for architecture, I grew up with an interest to find out a way to integrate both worlds way beyond universal accessibility laws, and it wasn't until the year 2024 that I could find a part of the answer through Neuroarchitecture, when as a student along with my teammates (now architects) Arch. Jaime Saldaña and Arch. Isaac Hernández as well as the mentorship by the Prof. Arch. Adolfo Romero decided to participate at the international neuroarchitecture competition “John P. Eberhard Student Design Competition” organized by the Academy of Neuroscience for Architecture (ANFA), achieving third place and waking up in me a passion for the subject. Since then I've been taking courses and looking for different ways to learn more about neuroarchitecture, leading me all the way here meeting the Moving Boundaries community.

Looking forward to a way of making architecture more and more inclusive together for everybody.
