Pooja Mahathi Vajjha

Pooja Mahathi Vajjha is an architect, educator, and researcher based in Hyderabad, India. She is currently a PhD candidate at CEPT University, Ahmedabad, where she is working on architectural harmony as part of her thesis. She has teaching, field and research experience of more than 9 years. She authored two chapters in international anthologies. One called proportion - creation of harmony through architecture using sound as a medium, in the book Handbook of Neuroscience and the Built Environment, and another called India’s Cultural Architecture and Society’s role in shaping it, in Handbook of the Changing World Language Map. Her interests lie in the field of neuroarchitecture, especially understanding the deeper connections between buildings and humans, which are not apparent and easily observable. She is rooted in Indian philosophy and temple architecture studies, from which she draws inspiration for her neuroarchitecture work.
